Zoo InternQuest is a career exploration program for high school students. To meet the Interns, read the Intern Profiles.

Because the animal ambassadors at Hunte Amphitheater are trained, the Zoo InternQuest interns hand some hands-on contact with a whole range of cool animals!

Bap Rang, the charismatic binturong, sat with the interns for a photo session.

Animal trainer Britta Wilson and Sven, the happy-go-lucky golden retriever (and best friend to a cheetah) greeted taught the interns the basics of animal training.

Not all animal ambassadors are high energy animals like Sven. The slow moving, two-toed sloth showed us much enthusiasm when we visited with food for her. Meeting unusual animals up-close can help people feel connected to animals and care about their conservation.

i admire the work that all of you do and i envy you, but in a good way. i hope you keep putting up your pictures. I wish i could say more but my english is not so good. Thanks for sharing with others your interactions with animals. probably it would change the way that some people see them. I live in guadalajara, jalisco, mexico and i am about to go in february to university (biology) here in guadalajara but there is no way for us to live the experiences that you are having with nature.
