Overlooking the koala exhibits you'll find the Queenslander House, reminiscent of the architectural style of houses in Queensland, Australia, first developed in the mid-1800s. This building has many functions, including an education classroom, displays about koala conservation, a window into the koala food prep kitchen, and information about how our keepers and veterinarians care for the much-loved koalas. In the off-exhibit bottom floor are keeper offices and koala bedroom areas. From the deck surrounding the Queenslander House, you'll have great views of the koala colony, at eye level with them in their tree perches.
