Kid Territory:Recipes: Zippy Zebra Ziti

I can’t believe that we’ve reached the end of the alphabet! I hope you’ve enjoyed all the animal recipes. The best part of making a treat is being able to change the recipe whenever you’d like to try a new idea. I’m sure you may have thought of some ways to change the recipes. After all, no two recipes have to be alike, especially not for Roadrunner Robin!

Did you know that no two zebras are alike? It’s true! Every zebra has a stripe pattern that is different from all other zebras. Zebras are great fun to watch. For instance, they get clean by rolling in the mud and dust. When the mud dries, zebras shake it off along with any loose hair or flakes of dry skin. The dust that remains works like a shield against bugs and heat.

Ingredients

1 1/2

cups ziti noodles (note: ziti noodles look like large macaroni noodles)

3/4

cup milk

1 1/2

cups grated sharp cheddar cheese

tablespoons butter

Cook the noodles according to the package directions, then drain them in a colander! Add the rest of the ingredients to the noodles, and put into a two-quart casserole dish. Bake at 350° F for 35 minutes. This will serve 4 zebra lovers!

What is black and white and red all over?
An embarrassed zebra!
