Kid Territory:Recipes: Tiger Tater Tots®

What's black, white, orange, and striped all over? A tiger, of course! In fact, no two tigers are striped alike! Tigers are big eaters, so it's important for them to be great hunters. They use their strength, speed, and intelligence to help bring down big prey.

Ingredients

Package of frozen Tater Tots®
Squirt bottle of ketchup
Squirt bottle of mustard
Squirt bottle of process cheese sauce
Squirt bottle of ranch dressing

Have a grown-up cook up a batch of tater tots according to the package instructions. Set up a stripe-making buffet with the ketchup, mustard, cheese, and ranch dressing. Spread your tater tots on a plate. Design your tiger tater tots by adding stripes; remember that no two tiger tater tots should be striped alike!

For extra fun, eat your tiger tater tots in the bathtub! After all, tigers are one of the only cats that actually like the water! After getting out of the tub, dry off, get in your pajamas and snuggle down with one of my favorite tiger books: Who Is the Beast? by Keith Baker, or Tigress by Helen Coucher.
