Okapi Oatmeal
In a little bit
of a hurry, but still looking for something special to make for breakfast?
I've got a great idea, one of our family's favorites. Okapi Oatmeal
lets you design your own breakfast, using chocolate syrup as paint.
Okapis are members of the giraffe family, even though they have legs
that look like a zebra's. This recipe is as easy as 1-2-3 stripes!
Ingredients
1 |
packet of instant oatmeal (any flavor will work) |
1/3 |
cup water |
|
Chocolate syrup |
Empty oatmeal packet into a microwave-safe bowl. Add water and stir. Microwave on high 30 to 45 seconds. Let stand for several minutes to cool.
Now for the fun part! Put some chocolate syrup in a small bowl and, using an eyedropper, design your own okapi with stripes. Breakfast okapis are white with brown stripes while rain forest okapis are brown with white stripes. What else could you use to make oatmeal okapi stripes, and what color is your okapi?
