Kid Territory: Crafts: Grow Your Own Bamboo!

| Your finished bamboo should look like the one in the first photo. Pull on one of the cut ends in the middle to make it grow. |
What you need
- Transparent tape
- Green crayon
- White construction paper
- Scissors
What you do
1. Color the paper green. (Or, you could use green construction paper.)
2. Roll the paper into a long tube and tape it together.
3. Cut 5 to 7 slits almost half-way down the tube, from the top opening.
4. Gently pull on one of the cut ends from the middle of the top of the tube, and see if your "bamboo" can grow as fast as real bamboo!
