Spooky Sleepover

At the San Diego Zoo

For families with children ages 4 and older

Get in the "spirit" of things during Spooky Sleepover at the Zoo and meet animals that wear their colorful costumes all year-round. Your ghostly camp director, Dr. Zoolittle, and his ghoulish experts will greet you at check-in with a slithery animal friend, a Halloween craft, and a special black light show. An exclusive bus tour will introduce you to some more scary and weird animals and deliver you to “haunted” Camp Timbuktu so you and your child can settle down in your tent.

After dinner, kids will “trick or treat” through the Zoo, meeting spooky animals before joining David Herbelin, a professional storyteller, for some interactive tales filled with spooky fun. Back at camp, kids can participate in a costume parade, make a yummy dessert, and be entertained by Dr. Zoolittle. Those campers still awake can take an optional night prowl through the Zoo.

You’ll wake up to a delicious hot breakfast before heading to Elephant Odyssey to watch a keeper feed pumpkins to the elephants and to have another close encounter of the animal kind. Then you’ll head home with a souvenir T-shirt and lots of happy memories.
