At the San Diego Zoo

Saturday, September 12–13

During this campy overnight for adults, teams will compete in activities you might see on reality TV and game shows. Your host, Dr. Zoolittle, and his spokes models will greet you at check-in with an animal friend and explain the rules of the competition while you and your teammates prepare for battle. An exclusive bus tour will introduce you to animals that have unique survivor skills and deliver you to Camp Timbuktu so you can settle down in your tent.

We promise that we won’t make you eat anything gross at dinner, but all bets are off afterwards when the competition begins. Perhaps you’ll recognize some of the activities if you have ever watched Survivor, Project Runway, America’s Got Talent, Family Feud, Amazing Race, The Apprentice, or World Poker. Back at camp and over dessert, Dr. Zoolittle will add up the scores and announce the winners. After the excitement of competition, you might enjoy an optional night prowl around the Zoo before settling into your tent.

You’ll wake up to a delicious hot breakfast and one more competitive activity before heading out into the Zoo to meet some more animals that have unique adaptations for surviving in this competitive world. Then you’ll head home with your team bandana, a special souvenir, and lots of happy memories.
