At the San Diego Zoo

Saturday, March 28, 2009

This exclusive event is the fulfillment of a bear lover's heart's desire. Come to the San Diego Zoo and travel in style with your own private cart and driver. One of our world-famous San Diego Zoo keepers will accompany you through Bear Canyon, finishing at Polar Bear Plunge to meet a total of 6 of our bear species! (Maximum registration for this event is 12 people!)

This elite tour will begin with a visit to our Andean (spectacled) bears, sun bears, brown bear, grizzly bears, and sloth bear. Then it's on to the Giant Panda Research Station, where you and our bamboo-eating bears will spend some quality time enjoying each other's activities. The pandas will be treated to some special enrichment and scrumptious morsels. A keeper will be on hand to weave tales about our famous pandas.

After getting up close and personal with our favorite black-and-white bears, your intimate group will journey to Polar Bear Plunge to see these colossal but lovable bears in their own bedrooms. Then you’ll have the chance to watch our Arctic bears enjoy special enrichment items while their keeper engages you with tales of our bears' many antics.

A private reception awaits you at the polar bears viewing area, where you will have hors d’oeuvres and beverages while watching our polar bears up close.
